Halo 3: ODST Right now

I'm just going to cover the campaign.

The campaign for ODST really disappointed me. This is the first Halo game that felt like a chore to get through, which is funny since it's fairly short.
Problems:
-The lighting is terrible. A lot of it takes place at night, and you're supposed to use your visor, which highlights edges of objects or something. Either way, it's either too dark or too bright. And the brightness settings in the menu don't help that.
-The health system. I'm actually fine with the way they did the stamina/health pack thing, but whenever you lose even just a tiny bit of health, it beeps until you get a health pack. Probably the most obnoxious thing I've ever encountered in a video game. Totally unnecessary.
-The levels where you are walking around the empty, dark, repetitive city drain all sense of excitement and curiosity. I don't know how they thought this was a good idea.
-The story, characters, and dialogue are all bland as could be. I did not care about a single element of what was happening, which made playing through it a thankless experience.
-They introduced a new weapon to Halo games: the silenced SMG. And you get to use it for about two minutes total, since it runs out of ammo and there is no extra ammo anywhere for it. What's the point?Get more detail about Halo 3: ODST.
